General
Watchroom is a creator-first shared viewing platform for digital premieres, secure on-demand music/film/series streams, and community interaction. Hosts publish rooms, set ticket prices if desired, and viewers join synced playback with live chat and event moderation.
Sign up for a free account, browse upcoming or live rooms from the homepage or schedule, then click "Join Room". If the event is paid, complete checkout first (Paystack is supported), then you’ll enter the watchroom immediately.
Basic account signup and many community rooms are free. Paid premieres and premium creator content require a ticket purchase, and optional subscriptions unlock advanced features.
Use the report icon in the room controls or on a user profile to submit details immediately. Our moderation team reviews reports within 24–48 hours and applies policy actions as needed.
For Creators
In the creator dashboard, create a new event, upload or link your secure stream, schedule the premiere time, and publish. Set ticket price and viewer limits, and use creator controls to manage playback and chat during the live event.
Creators can set ticket levels per event; Watchroom handles payment processing and distribution. The platform keeps a small service fee and creators receive the majority of revenue (typically ~80%).
Yes. After the live premiere, enable on-demand in event settings so viewers can buy replay access. On-demand availability is at the creator’s control per title.
Use live chat and host announcements in your room; pin highlights and award badges. Engage viewers with Q&A, shoutouts, and replay clips from the event.
For Viewers
Select a ticketed premiere, click "Join Room", and complete the payment flow (Paystack). Your ticket is linked to your account and will provide access for live and authorized replay content.
Watchroom supports modern desktop and mobile browsers (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox). To install the PWA, follow onscreen prompts for the best experience on mobile and desktop.
Yes — hosted rooms include a chat interface (if enabled by creator) for messages, reactions, and community interaction. Follow chat rules and report abuse with the built-in report tool.
If playback stalls, try refresh and reopen the room; reconnect logic is built-in. For persistent issues, check your network and contact support through the help center.
Payments & Trust
Yes. We process payments via Paystack on HTTPS, and card data is never stored by Watchroom. You receive a purchase confirmation email for every transaction.
Refunds are possible when an event is canceled or not delivered as described; otherwise, all paid tickets are final. Open a support request with your order ID for review and processing.
Use the in-room report button or the profile report feature. We investigate within 24 hours and may remove content, suspend accounts, and issue refunds when policy is violated.
Watchroom encrypts stored personal data, uses secure authentication tokens, and adheres to our privacy policy. We never sell user data; we may share minimal info with payment partners for transaction processing.
